An initial online meeting to explore future collaboration models

In 2025, during the Canada Hydrogen Convention (Hy-fcell Canada 2025), Hydrox initiated a first contact with AVL Fuel Cell Canada Inc., a distinguished hydrogen technology leader and engineering service provider. AVL is part of the global AVL Group, recognized for its world-class expertise in powertrain development, simulation, testing, and integration services, including fuel cell stack engineering and validation across a wide range of applications such as automotive, heavy-duty, marine, and aviation.

In early 2026, with the introduction and recommendation of the Government of British Columbia, HydroX and AVL advanced their engagement with structured discussions. The two organizations conducted an initial online meeting to share their respective product portfolios and technological strengths, and established a recurring communication mechanism to explore future collaboration models. In this session, Hydrox presented its capabilities in hydrogen fuel cell core components (including CVM and humidifiers) and automated production line equipment; AVL outlined its engineering strengths in fuel cell stack design, prototyping, testing, and validation services.

HydroX is actively exploring R&D collaboration opportunities with AVL Fuel Cell Canada Inc., including:

Joint research on advanced components to improve system performance and durability;

Customized automated production line solutions leveraging HydroX’s full-series production capabilities;

Joint development of next-generation technologies such as high-temperature PEM fuel cells, high power-density stacks, and AEM electrolyzers, with Canada serving as the base for technology validation and early-stage commercialization.

HydroX looks forward to deepening cooperation with AVL, accelerating the development and deployment of hydrogen energy and new energy technologies, and contributing to the growth of Canada’s clean energy ecosystem and global hydrogen economy.
